SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT
To get Hooked Clothings x Leftfoot’s fall season apparel collection going on its right path, photographer and longtime collaborator, Alvin Tang, got deep into the subject of pairing youth culture and popular music as one, documenting these topics in the form of visuals essays depicting love, sex, and the passion for skateboarding in an urban setting, embraced by a Debbie Gibson single from the 80’s.
Named Electric Youth, this body of work “seeks to evoke myths ingrained in our streetwise youth scene”, as mentioned by the collaborators themselves. Besides serving as artwork on print and canvas, these images have also been placed onto the label’s t-shirts, shirts and tote bags, all ready to be consumed, digested, and relished by both the young and young at heart.
