Report: Fred Perry 100 Year Bash

Posted December 2nd, 2009 at 12:07 pm by JUICE

A NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM
Like tea served to British royalty, the Fred Perry 100th Anniversary was both classy and tasty in its own right, providing a package of aural and visual pleasures to the esteemed guests that turned up that fateful evening at the magnificent venue, otherwise known as the Red Dot Design Museum.

With some kind sponsorship from 42Below and Heineken for liquids, guests were able to warm themselves up with either the ping pong table provided, or an installation of art and clothing pieces (Tattoo Artist Collection) relating to the brand’s 100th theme. A runway presentation of Fred Perry’s latest in-store collection, tossed up with some key pieces from the exclusive 100th collection took place as the night progressed, and the shindig was nicely wrapped up by English indie outfit, Kyte, with its sharp performance of ambient rock tunes, blanketed by some stunning visuals from video artists, PMP.

As the night drew to a close, one lucky sod in Fred Perry clothes walked off with an exclusive 100 Year Gibson Les Paul guitar, while the rest of the whole jean gang, including Kyte, packed into the band bus and made their way to Velvet Underground for more fun times.
