After a six year absence from performing on our shores, Australian indie rock outfit The Temper Trap are due to make their long-awaited return to Singapore on March 10 at The Coliseum, Hard Rock Hotel in support of their third album, Thick As Thieves.
Marking their first album tour and Singapore show without lead guitarist and founding member, Lorenzo Sillitto, the now-quartet is determined to “make more out of less,” according to guitarist Joseph Greer. Speaking with us last year while promoting Thick As Thieves on Sillitto’s sudden departure, frontman Dougy Mandagi says, “Somehow, through it all, we’ve become closer as a unit. We have a clearer vision of who we are and where we want to go”. The band’s ability to create chart-topping tunes certainly didn’t take a hit, with Thick As Thieves debuting at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart in its week of release.
Watch frontman Dougy and guitarist Joseph quip about Australian music icons below, and read up on the band discussing their latest album in the digital edition of our June 2016 issue on ISSUU.
The Temper Trap play at The Coliseum Hard Rock Hotel Singapore on March 10 at 8pm. Tickets on sale from January 16 at sistic.com.sg.
