No Age - Everything In Between

by JUICE on Thursday, 29th July 2010

The two dudes from LA who’ve made noise out of punk, No Age will soon come back to us with its sophomore, Everything In Between. Four years on from their debut Nouns, Dean and Randy have yet to show any signs of mellowing out. If anything, the pair has stepped up its noise-punk frenzy, delivering us a “deeper intensity” and yet more sample-based gems. It’ll be fun – come play.

Jamaica - “I Think I Like U 2″

by JUICE on Monday, 26th July 2010

Previously known as Poney Poney, Antoine Hilaire and Florent Lyonnet have now been rechristened Jamaica, and are here to get your summer soundtrack sorted. The duo’s debut album, No Problem, which drops next month and which has been produced by Xavier de Rosnay (Justice) and Peter Franco, will come soaked in all manner of sleek pop hooks, rock hard riffs and taut electronic production - the kind that still keeps kids dancing. And for the record, Jamaica has already made its rounds on the festival circuit and Kitsuné comps, and now comes hotly tipped and highly recommended. Here’s one of their newer tunes to get you oriented.

Major Lazer - “Jump Up” (Thom Yorke Remix)

by JUICE on Thursday, 22nd July 2010

You already know how Diplo and Switch lately took up residence at some swanky dancehall and went around shooting people with electro and comic lazers. That event has been nicely documented in the duo’s Major Lazer project and its first showing, Guns Don’t Kill People… Lazers Do. Now, their sophomore (Lazers Never Die) is about to be unveiled, but not before one Thom Yorke hops on board to remix one of their babies. “Jump Up” is it, on which Thom pretty much works his party muscle to the max.

by JUICE on Saturday, 17th July 2010

They’ve been gone long, but no, Cut Copy, we haven’t forgetton you. And in return, the Aussie trio hasn’t forsaken us: as of 2011, we’ll have ourselves Cut Copy’s third album (as yet untitled) - apparently influenced by Tusk and self-produced. Below you may download “Where I’m Going”, a sampler track that should tell you um, where they’re going. And oh, that chorus!
