We haven’t heard from Interpol in a bit, but the men of Interpol have nonetheless been busy. Carlos has been occupied with his new film composer persona (complete with face hair), Sam has been playing with his band Magnetic Morning, and now, Paul Banks is braving solo waters as Julian Plenti (yes, he’s acquired the face hair too). An album, Julian Plenti is… Skyscraper, is slated for an August release, containing songs that Paul has described as “cocky” and “sexy”. If the dark and forlorn sample heard on his website is anything to go by, Paul is obviously just bragging. In any case, we love this.
