A concept album is the least you should expect from Final Fantasy, aka Owen Pallett. The guy possesses as much imagination as he does talent – and he’s never afraid to wield any of it. And so: Heartland, his third album that weaves a loose narrative about Lewis, a young and aggressive farmer, having a one-sided conversation with his maker. There’s even something about the fictional land of Spectrum, or something. Also expect the music to be as fantastic, as Owen attempts to meld more classical structures to pop – ambitious!
