JUICE 11th Anniversary Party

We're turning 11 this year and just so you remember, we'll be throwing a party to mark it good. Since the number 11 carries all sorts of spiritual connotations, we'll be fixing up some metaphysical action to pave the way into the positive unknown. On 20 November at Zouk, expect to sample some supernatural musical vibrations, partake in magical party favours, and above all, feel the mystic heat of our birthday candles.

The JUICE 11th Anniversary Party happens 20 November, from 9 to 11.30pm at Zouk. Complimentary drinks are on Barcardi Superior (available from 8pm, while stocks last).

JUICE September

In your fresh JUICE:
We share sugar, spice and other things nice with Emmy The Great, folk singer, guitar player and our cover girl. Moderat yawn in our faces, Little Boots unburdens her life on us, Infadels invade our office and The Observatory show us their dark side. And as part of your style pie: we cop to the newest looks from Armani Jeans and DKNY Jeans, sit down with Christian Joy and browse the racks at DVLK. There's even an entire story on blogs, just so you always know where to turn to on your lunch break.

JUICE August

In your latest JUICE: it's our nation's 44th birthday and to celebrate, we've gathered 44 of its meanest movers and shakers - from DJs (like Koflow up there) to photogs, graphic artists to retailers, fashion designers to party planners - and got them to clap their hands and say yeah.

Elsewhere, we visit Peter Doherty's drug den, find out what's hot with Gossip, uncover the Arctic Monkey's latest masterwork and snuggle up to the JUICE DJ Quest winner, Artihc. On the fashion front, there's a firsthand report from Sport b.'s Taipei gig, a look at the latest cuts from Vol.ta, plus the scoop on Diet Butcher Slim Skin and Hederus. And don't miss our fresh beauty sections, specially tailored for all you pretty things.

JUICE August: Diet Butcher Slim Skin

In your next JUICE, we look into Diet Butcher Slim Skin, Japan's hot label du jour, which harbours a morbid fascination with all things dark and dirty. Just look at that expensive hobo!

Look it up in JUICE August, which hits the streets this week.

JUICE August: Peter Doherty

In your next JUICE, Peter Doherty tells us:
"You don’t have to be a musician to have a good old knees-up. What was it someone said to me the other day? This girl I was trying to talk to, she said to me, 'Oh, my daddy was the greatest musician there never was.' I said, 'What do you mean?' She said, 'He was a hardcore junkie and he just let the drugs get the better of him and he never fulfilled his potential. But man, he was the best.' And I’m thinking, 'Well...'"

More in JUICE August, which hits the streets next week.

JUICE July

This month: Our island's hippest and savviest lady Tracy Phillips fronts our stuff. We peep into A-trak's record bag, try on Datarock's tracksuits for size, and dig into Florence & The Machine. Then, we get attacked by tech in discovering what kind of gadgets local musicians and DJs are loving in our Technologic feature. And since no one should be naked, we string together Nikicio and Minimarket for your monthly dose of style. We also represent Morrissey as a pie chart, which was fun.

JUICE June

This month: we snuggle up to André Saraiva, Uffie's hubby who paints and parties with equal fervour, Kaiser Chiefs tell us their secrets (all 25 of them), and Sinden takes us out shopping. We also score a prime spot at the Worldwide Festival and a back seat at the Singapore Fashion Festival. Style-wise, we dig into Lad Musician and the possibilities of denim. And to stem your wanderlust, we've also compiled A Moveable Feast, a guide to Singapore's version of Paris, Tokyo, London and New York, so you don't have to go too far for your dose of foreign cool.

Also, Liam Gallagher tells us this:
"No point having good tunes if you look like a dick, d'you know what I mean? You could write the best songs in the world, but if you look terrible, you're just letting yourself down."

We then play catch up with everyone from Lily Allen to PJ Harvey to Depeche Mode to Coldplay, and tell you what happened along the frontlines of the Heineken Music Club. Of Montreal was there, for one. There are also fashion tips about Cacharel Liberty and Uniqlo, while the inaugural issue of our style supplement, Fashion Beats, will come packed to the brim with the latest trends, labels and looks.
