adidas ObyO F/W '09

Last season, adidas Originals handed over their drawing boards to a bunch of visionaries and allowed them free reign o'er their own capsule collections. Thus: adidas Originals By Originals, and they're at it again for F/W '09. First up, style child Jeremy Scott turns up with more colours than rainbows, trades on kinky animal spots and stripes, and unleashes some pretty wild silhouettes.

Street kingpin Kazuki heads up a signature stripped back, dust-coloured collection that's perfected with workman-like details, slim cuts and an edgy endnote of "Zivil Courage". It literally screams (or whispers) minimal chic.

A new addition to ObyO, the David Beckham x James Bond collection mixes up classic American sportswear with luxury materials, so you may look alternately gruff like Beckham and suave like Bond, but always like the big man you are.

adidas ObyO by Kazuki will be available at Surrender, 119 Devonshire Road, L2, from tomorrow onwards. The Jeremy Scott and David Beckham x James Bond collections will be exclusive to the adidas Originals Concept Store at Pacific Plaza, #01-09.

The creative cats at Surface To Air have just touched hands with lens man, Solve Sundsbo, for another for their crisp collabs. This capsule collection sees the photographer's vibrantly and weirdly textural work splashed over tops, dresses and bags. Nice. Check it for a geometric and bizarre grace.

Get the Surface To Air x Solve Sundsbo collection at Asylum, 22 Ann Siang Road. Stuff's limited, by the way.

Rock Candy

To celebrate a decade of Coachella, the most indie-fashionable thing to take place in the LA desert, the NY Times recently gathered a couple of indie darlings, stuck them in expensive bohemian gear and got Sebastian Kim to capture them on film. The results are a lush, monochrome spread of people like The Kills, No Age, Lykke Li, Vivian Girls, White Lies, Beirut and Late Of The Pier lolling about the desert looking their most elegant/wasted.

Priceless

Priceless is Antony Price's exclusive range for Topman, and now in its second season, resumes the man's sharp and tailored vision. FYI, Antony got a headstart in the '70s art directing Roxy Music's record sleeves, before moving into the '80s with his louche and dramatic glam wear, as seen on the likes of Duran Duran and David Bowie. And it's that same quality that defines his Priceless S/S '09 collection - check it for fitted and fab tees, waistcoats, jackets and trousers.

Priceless is available at www.topman.com.

Fred Perry x Asylum

One's an iconic British label and the other a local creative firm. Together, they've produced a series of polo tees that unite taste and irreproachable design. This military-esque cotton-pique polo comes armed with epaulets and a ceremonial sash, should the occasion call for it. The tees are available in two colour combos and in limited quantities, so make it quick.

The Fred Perry x Asylum polo tees retail at Fred Perry ION Orchard and Laurel stores.

Useless

Backed by Shinichi Osawa (who plays star guitar), Useless is a fashion label that emphasises the marriage of Japanese and European styles in its clean and classic cuts. Shirts come in an array of checks and plaids, while tees come complete with stark slogans. It's a statement in understatement, and yes, Shinichi won't be caught dead without it.

Useless is stocked at Surrender, 119 Devonshire Road, L2.

Jethro Lazenby

with Cole Mohr (on left)

Meet Jethro Lazenby - a 19 year old model from down under who has already appeared on the runway for Balenciaga (Paris Fashion Week), been photographed by Hedi Slimane, and has graced the pages of i-D and Dazed And Confused on a very frequent basis. His dad is also known as Aussie rocker, Nick Cave. This andro looking beast looks set to conquer the fashion world in time to come because he looks like an alien, has a waif-like physique and a very strange haircut. We predict he might form a band soon too.

Hansel

Local womenswear label, Hansel, is a quirky, understated and highly wearable (we hate this term though) collection that suits lasses who are cool, like you. Named after the Jack Russell Terrier belonging to designer, Jo Soh, the label has gotten props from industry players and press from around the world, including us here at JUICE. And we hear even Rose Byrne is into it. Besides being stocked online and other cool stockists, Hansel is now available at Blackmarket. Huzzah.

Blackmarket is located 19 Jalan Pisang (along Victoria Street).

Henrik Vibskov

Besides good cookies and tales, Denmark has loads to offer on the plate in terms of threads and tunes. Take fashion designer, Henrik Vibskov, for example (yes, that's him taking a smoke). The lad's got mad wicked talent to put buttons and cloth together, owns a couple of cool boutiques in Copenhagen and Oslo, stocks around fine stores worldwide, and does the most whimsical season presentations on the runway. He is also a film maker, plays the drums professionally and won a breakdancing competition when he was 12. Seriously, what the f**k!

Check out the Henrik Vibskov SS09 collection, available at Ambush, 119 Devonshire Rd (L1)

Band Of Outsiders

In proving that oldies can still be goodies, more fashion labels are now picking up on classic cuts and iconic silhouettes to fill up their latest collections. NYC's Band Of Outsiders does this especially well, its timeless detailing, slim proportions and effortless cool making for one very fine fit. Their collaboration with Sperry has also given us a series of sexy boat shoes. Check our report on the label's goods, as well as our chat with its founder/designer Scott Sternberg in our upcoming May issue (comes with extra fashion content!). Yeah, we can't wait as well.

You can get Band Of Outsiders (menswear and Sperry) at Surrender, 119 Devonshire Road, L2.
