Tiger of Sweden may hail from a small town on the Swedish west coast, but it’s been harbouring some pretty mighty ambition and talent. Markus Schwarmann and Hjalmar Nordström were its masterminds, laying its foundation in 1903 with their tailored vision of ready-to-wear men’s suits. A bold move – especially during a time when bespoke was all the rage – but one that’s been paid off nicely. More than a century later, Tiger is still highly regarded as Sweden’s fashion pride – and it isn’t hard to see why. Lauded for their knack for pairing classic cut-and-sew techniques with contemporary materials and shape-shifting patterns, Tiger’s sleek and fuss-free collections have managed to remain relevant all throughout the ages.
