In exploring the relationship and interplay between text and image, Pretext has gathered nine artists and their work in photography, projection and installation that negotiate their way between the two mediums. The artists, including Geraldine Kang, Grace Kwa, Ho Hui May, Jeff Chouw and Gilles Massot, will deliver pertinent discussions on how image and text each function to lend their messages value and meaning, a document of issues of visual and literary art, as well as insights into the fusion of both languages.

Pretext runs from 23 December to 23 January at 2902 Gallery, Old School, 11B Mount Sophia, B2-09.
