Be a part of a worldwide search for the next big thing on the music scene! In conjunction with this year’s global battle of the bands, the good people of Hard Rock Cafe will be hosting the local leg of the competition in our friendly neighborhood Cafe itself. Join in the fun with your buddies and show your support for up-and-coming bands such as 7th Storey, Green Monster and Faithliving, as they set stages on fire with their red-hot tunes. The Final Battle will be held on 24 March so come on down and toot a horn or two and bask in the fun. The winner gets to fly to  London and perform at Hard Rock Calling in historic Hyde Park so there’s lots at stake!

The b-boys are back in town and this time Dbl O will be hosting the fresh-to-death after-party for this year’s Radikal Forze Jam. Brace yourself for some mad windmills, handstands and all things hip hop as main man and DONUTS anchor DJ Ollie’Des spins all the right tracks that would make you wanna bust a move or two. Former DMC champion DJ J-Styles and Australia’s own D-Swift will also be at the helm as well, dishing out the best of anything hip hop and funk. Presenting a burgeoning cauldron of audio experimentation and visual dares, Syndicate looks set to collab with The Substation this time, venturing off the dancefloor and into the theatre. Immerse yourself in atmospheric musical nuances by emerging producer Gema and electronic experimenters Muon. Additionally, this will also mark the launch of Muon’s new album entitled The Shape of Shapes To Come. Also making an appearance is Syndicate’s resident visualist, Brandon Tay, providing unique visual narratives for each individual performance.

Get your dose of kitschy fun with Brooklyn-based band and art/performance collective MEN, as they come together and light up Avalon with their radical, fully-charged live performance and firebrand dance music. Led by cult icon JD Samson and Johanna Fateman of electro-crazy Le Tigre, MEN emerged from the art and punk scene in Brooklyn and since then have been producing music that speaks in volumes through intense lyricism and inventive stage shows.
