A sonic collaboration between Perspektif and the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped, Cityscapes is an audio journal series that explores and offers fresh insight into the influence of sound on perception, behaviour, orientation, technology, space, time and movement. Its debut edition, Design by Sound, is brilliantly designed by Belgian designer Tom Merckx and features the talents of seven local sound practitioners, including sonicbrat, Eswandy Sarip, mux and Johnson Zhang, as well as a special appearance from Michael Fakesch (one half of Germany’s Funkstorung). These sound pieces will also get its own exhibition, so you’ll get to see as well as you’ll hear.
The Cityscapes Audio Journal exhibition takes place from 26 to 30 November at City Hall Building, Level 4, 3 Saint Andrew’s Road. Also don’t miss the Cityscapes Launch Party, showcasing Michael Fakesch and Taprikk Sweezee, happening 28 November at Stereolounge!
