It’s Chingay all over again and you bet there’ll be dancing in the streets – City Alive! is making sure of that. Back for its third year, City Alive! has found itself a new, sweet spot at the Pit Building and lined up yet another solid collection of local and international acts. High on the list is pop extraordinaire Space Cowboy, who’s been mentored by Norman Cook, toured with Lady Gaga, made magic with MSTRKRFT and comes with his own electronic tricks to spare. The regional end of things get propped up by Japan’s DJ Sarasa and All Area Crew, while local lights include DJ Inquisitive, DJ Andrew T and our groovy b-boys, Radikal Forze. Apart from the music though, City Alive!’s festivities also extend into an array of fringe activities. These include an aerial performance by LED night flyers from GoFlyKite, dance battles, stilt-walkers and the like, on top of UV face painting and airbrush tattoo stalls.
