Baybeats 2009
Uniquely and alternatively Singaporean, Baybeats returns for its eighth year running, with its ranks now swelling to embrace local, regional and international acts. The three-day festival will see both new and established local musicians like The Great Spy Experiment, Barricade, For This Cycle, the Beat! crew, Jon Chan, West Grand Boulevard and Lunar Node; regional delights like The Philippines' The Ambassors, Indonesia's Homogenic and Thailand's Tabasco; plus, international stalwarts like Amberlin, Chris Collingwood (of Fountains of Wayne) and Ally Kerr. Put together, it's a whole load of genres, sounds and good vibes. Baybeats is also a free event, so there's no reason you shouldn't be here.
Baybeats happens from 28 to 30 August in and around the Esplanade.
